It grows on trees, vines and rocks in rainforests, usually where there is high humidity and an abundance of air movement. This plant can spike and flower 3 to 4 times a year. The spray of intricate flowers is accompanied by a hinged lip that bounces up and down when the flowers are moved. This orchid is a warm-growing epiphyte that needs light shade, adequate drainage, air circulation, and high humidity.
