A bite of dwarf rose-stripe stars will not cause severe effects to felines. But, eating excessive amounts of it may cause them to suffer from gastrointestinal distress.

Plants are not supposed to be a regular part of a cat’s diet. This is because they are carnivores and their bodies are not ready to completely process plant materials in their stomach. As a result, cats tend to vomit or suffer from mild diarrhea when they have ingested too much indigestible plant matter.

You should also keep in mind that there is also a possibility of toxicity when cats eat a plant. If a plant has chemical residues from fertilizers and pesticides and your cat has ingested it, it may cause severe poisoning effects which can be fatal.

Always be mindful of your cats’ actions and take precautions when using any kind of product on your plants.

It is essential to teach your cats to not get near your plants. This will do you good in the long run.

Sternly say “no” or make loud noises whenever they attempt to touch your plants. You can also try to spray water on them to keep them away from the plants. Cats dislike water but make sure that they will associate the sprinkling water with the plants and not you. Otherwise, they will be scared of you instead of the plants.
